At 2044 Hours the Box Alarm was transmitted for 2044 Prima Way, sending Engine Companies 18, 33, 46, R/E33, Towers 43, 39 and Truck 28.  Engine Company 33 and 18 arrived behind Chief 33 who was reporting Heavy Fire showing from side "A".  The crews from 18 and 33 aggressively placed attack lines in service to attack the fire.  Back up lines were stretched by the other companies as the Special Service units went to work searching and opening up.  At approx 5 to 6 minutes into the interior attack there was a backdraft type explosion causing severe heat, smoke and fire conditions to race through the home.  At this time a Task Force Alarm was struck (Engine Companies 37, 38 And Truck 19) and the crews were ordered evacuate the structure so command could conduct a accountability check.  Once units regrouped Command sent Engine Companies 18, 33, TK28 and R/E33 back inside to finish extinguishment.  units operated for several hours conducting extensive overhaul.  Chief 33 ( Kelleher) Had Command, Chief 18 (Fowler) operated on the interior.
