At about 1500 hrs PSC (Public Safety Communications) dropped a box for 13000 Blk of Mistletoe Spring Rd for a reported fire coming from the attic area of the apartment building. Engine company 49 arrived to find heavy fire from the 3rd floor apartment. A little bit after Chief 49A (Command) requested the 2nd alarm, which brought Rescue Engine 18. Upon responding to staging command requested that all 2nd alarm units come into the scene and reported to the command post. The Crew from 18 was given side Charlie under the command of Chief 11 (Burrier) . Crews operated outside for about 15min before being told to return to the inside to finish knocking what was left of the fire. The Crew from 11 placed a 35ft ladder to the 3rd floor and advanced the side Charlie attack line into the "C" Quadrant and began to knock any visible fire. While company 11 operated on the 3rd floor Rescue Engine 18 crew along with Engine Company 13 officer  placed a ground ladder to the second floor and advanced another attack line to the 2nd floor Quadrant "C" to knock down fire that was found in the walls. Crew from 18 operated for about 2 hours opening up before returning to service.
